"ZIPPER"
February 7, 2001 - July 13, 2009
Our precious boy lost his fight with epilepsy at 6.45pm on Monday, 13th July. Zipper had severe cluster-type epilepsy not responding to anti-convulsant medication and alternative treatments. Zipper's condition declined rapidly and thankfully he did not suffer long. Zipper was sedated, comfortable and with his daddy when put to sleep by our vet.
We loved him so much.
May our little angel rest in peace.
We miss him so much.

Saying Goodbye
If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then will you do what must be done,
For this -- the last battle -- can't be won.
***
You will be sad I understand,
But don't let grief then stay your hand,
For on this day, more than the rest,
Your love and friendship must stand the test.
***
We have had so many happy years,
You wouldn't want me to suffer so
When the time comes, please, let me go.
***
Take me to where to my needs they'll tend,
Only, stay with me till the end
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.
***
I know in time you will agree
It is a kindness you do to me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I have been saved.
***
Don't grieve that it must be you
Who has to decide this thing to do;
We've been so close -- we four -- these years,
Don't let your hearts hold any tears.

Just a short note to express my deepest sympathy at the passing away of Zipper. He was obviously a really important part of yourfamily, and you have both put so much into hislife, as he put so much into yours. I'm sure you will miss him for a long time to come.
Kindest regards,
David
Take comfort that little Zipper is at peace now. His suffering is over. You gave him a wonderful life.
I think I'll always remember Zipper as a doggie that loved to explore and loved his food!
You are both in my thoughts and prayers as always.
Love,
Mum

Oh, Kalianne, I am so very sorry Zipper has passed away. What a beautiful picture of him! He looks like a precious angel sitting in that field of flowers. I know how terribly it hurts to lose such a beloved and devoted little one--the pain can be almost unbearable. When you feel up to it, I would love to hear more about your boy.
Hugs,
Melissa
Dear Kalianne,
I am so very sorry for your loss of your beloved Zipper.
His picture is so beautiful, and he is such a handsome lad.
Losing a Heart Dog is the hardest and most difficult thing a person has to endure in their entire life, in my opinion.
Your loss of Zipper is very new and raw at this time, your grief is over whelming. Take Care Kalianne, and my prayers are with you as you begin this difficult journey of grief and loss.
